She was predeceased by: her parents, Ladislado Escalante and Juana Escalante; her husband Desiderio Alvarado; her siblings, Torivio Escalante, Heliodoro Escalante, Modesto Escalante and Maria Felisa Ruiz; her children, Juan Desiderio Alvarado, Lucinda Garza, Alfredo Alvarado and Ricardo Alvarado; her granddaughter Celinda Ly Contreras; and her great grandchild Joey Reyna.
She is survived by: her brother Guadalupe Escalante; her grandchildren, Juan Desiderio Alvarado, Jr. (Mary), Leticia Ramos (James), Jaime Alvarado (Karla), Steven Alvarado (Shyanne), Michell Flores (Roy), Marianna Reyna (Rene), Maricela Garza, Canuto Garza (Sandra), Marissa Garza, Carlos Garza (Cassie), A. J. Garza (Jackie), Clarissa Ly Contreras, Eduardo Contreras, Jr. (Janay), Veronica Flores, Alfredo Alvarado, Jr., Desiderio Alvarado, Ariana Alvarado, Alyssa Alvarado and Ashley Alvarado; and her great grandchildren, Abigail Alvarado, Juan Desiderio Alvarado, III, Jade Luna Ramos, Mila Rose Ramos, Selma Alvarado, Sean Alvarado, Raul Flores, Freddy Reyna, Rene J. Reyna, Jr., Emma Rose Pena, Caitlyn Garza, Sebastian Garza, Ramiro Vaiz, Diego Vaiz, Carolina Garza, Carlos Garza, Jr., Olivia Ly Contreras, Ezekiel Contreras, Grayson San Miguel, Victoria Salinas, Jayce Salinas, Daniel Alvarado, Kimberly Granados, Carson Alvarado, Aliyah Silos, Anaya Silos, Alycia Silos and Azaleya Silos.
Viewing will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Chapels (1401 E Santa Rosa Ave, Edcouch, TX 78538). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church (200 Salazar St, Edcouch, TX 78538). A burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Memorial Park (6705 N Farm, To Market).
