He was predeceased by: his parents, Merced Valdez and Maria Martinez Valdez; and his stepmother Librada Valdez. He is survived by: his wife Estela Alonzo Valdez; and his children, Daniel Valdez, Jerry Valdez (Gisela), Paul Valdez (Aurora), Elizabeth Valdez, Sandra Valdez, Marcy Valdez, Rosalinda Cantu (Tim) and Erica Loredo (Rolando). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
