It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esmarilda Contreras (Edcouch, Texas), who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Moises Altamirano and Maria Montelongo; and her brothers, Moises Altamirano and Ismael Altamirano. She is survived by: her children, Arturo Contreras (Anna), Delma Salinas (Gilbert), Sandy Contreras, Mary Ybarra (Manuel), Jesse Contreras (Kathy), Jimmy Contreras (Yesenia) and Andrew Contreras (Margarita); and her siblings, Heliberto Martinez, Lorenzo Altamirano, Gloria Altamirano, Yolanda Garza, Mary Contreras, Delia Altamirano and Aida Altamirano. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Chapels (1401 E Santa Rosa Ave, Edcouch, TX 78538). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Theresa of Infant Jesus Church (200 Salazar St, Edcouch, TX 78538). A burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Anahuac Community Cemetery.
