He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jack B. Byrd, Sue Garrett, Lorraine Hooper, Emma Lou Benton and Betty Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Wanda Byrd; and his children, Randal E. Byrd, Justin K. Byrd (Ashley), Regina Davis and Ronda Byrd. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
