He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Otis Koonce and Ethel Mae Purdue Koonce. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Ann Smith Koonce; his children, Ronald Scott Koonce (Pat), Joe Bradley Koonce (Lori), Kenneth F. Smith (Esther), James S. Hudson and Joyce Ann Hudson; his sister Nelda Terry (Wayne); his nephews, Marlin Priddy and Greg Priddy; and his niece Annette Nutter. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Nowlin Anders Funeral Home (340 S Austin St, De Leon, TX 76444). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
