He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Jane Hathcock; his grandson Richard Wayne Hooper; and his siblings, Mary Ann Guess, Jesse Hathcock and John Hathcock.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Hooper (Mark) of Euless, TX; and also, Christi Hooper, Jennifer Robinette and Jonathan Hooper. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
