He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted McDonald and Vale McDonald; and his grandson Eric Garcia. He is survived by: his wife Oralia McDonald; his sister Carla Sherrod; and his children, Charles McDonald, Nickie Chavez, Deborah Muñoz (Felix Muñoz), Rita Garcia, Johnny Garcia (Patay Garcia), Jeff Garcia (Kandi Garcia) and Kathy Varela (Robert Walter). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
