He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Emmons and Irene Smith Emmons; his siblings, Delorse Howard and Walter Lavelle Emmons; his wife Marilyn Linney Emmons; his children, Jason Emmons (Katrina Emmons) of Bulverde and Farrah Drury (Rich Drury) of Sealy; his brothers, Robert Emmons, Wilford Emmons of DeRidder, LA and Don Ray Smith; and his grandchildren, Levi Emmons, Lexi Emmons, Tanner Hall, Spencer Hall and Jakobe Drury.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Melvin's memory to New Covenant Fellowship, P.O. Box 257, Rosenberg, Texas, or to the charity of your choice.

“Marilyn and Emmons Family, I just heard of the passing of Melvin LEVI today, I want to express my sympathies. Melvin and I knew each other through work at GSC, and actually I received phone calls by mistake over the years including while he was at Borden's, as well as conflicts with time cards at the Rice office with Marilyn, while I worked there. At Grocers, any time we were together he always used his wit to announce he was the "more handsome one" of us two. Sincerely, Melvin LEE Emmons”
