She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Tamez and Evangelina Tamez (Alaniz); and her husband Eleuterio Gauna. She is survived by: her children, Richard Gauna (Maureen) of Rockwall, George Gauna (Josie) of Shallowater, Rene Gauna (Robin) of Lubbock, Ruben Gauna (Anita) of Dimmitt, Eleuterio Gauna Jr. (Jenny) of South Carolina, Rosie Garza (Rey) of Childress, Eva Saenz (Victor Jr.) of Dimmitt, Elma Koite (Michael) of Houston, Yolanda Gauna of Amarillo and Christina Villalon of Floydada, Texas; and her sisters, Adelaida Soto of San Juan, Vilma Cortez of Grand Prairie, Maria Elena Amaya of Minnesota and Anita Guajardo of San Juan, Texas. She is also survived by her 27 grandchildren; and her 39 great-grandchildren.
