It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wheeler (Early, Texas), born in Brownwood, Texas, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Wheeler (Eoff) and DeVern Wheeler; his grandson Cason Wheeler; and his sisters, Laura Jean and Verna Marie.

He is survived by: his wife Vicki Wheeler of Early; his children, Jennifer Stephens (Blake) of Roby, Andrew Wheeler (Megan) of Gustine, Laura Hancock (Shawn) of Mt. Juliet, John Smith (Elena) of New Braunfels, Kristi Huxford (Brent) of Bangs and Chad Smith (Amber) of Early; his grandchildren, Brook, Hunter Stephens, Colton, Jacob Wheeler, Addy, Aiden Hancock, Levi, Carter Smith, Shooter Huxford, Peyton, Emma, Autumn Carey and Rylee Smith; his siblings, Sandra Wylie of May, Emma Williams (Dennis) of Early and Exa Villa (Chris) of Houston; and his adoptive son Willie Hernandez.
