He was predeceased by: his father J. W. Pendergrass; and his grandparents, Joe, Florence Knape, Elton Sr. and Rose Wissner.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his siblings, Cindy Copeland, Elise White (Paul), Lou Wissner (Brenda) and Howard Wissner (Michelle); and his children, Julie Armstrong (Daymond), Mylissa McDonald (Steven), Tessa White, Shelly Fleming, Barbie Jenkins, Shannon Griffin, Bussie Adams (Brandi), Kevin Griffin (Christine), Christy Wynn (Joey) and Philip Tulcus.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to St. Jude or the Wounded Warrior Project.
