We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2023, at the age of 74, Maricela V. Gasca of Eagle Lake, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Julio Vela and Maria of Jesus Vela; and her siblings, Mary I. Flores, Margarito Alvarez, Antonio G. Alvarez, Juan Alvarez and Guadalupe Alejos.

She is survived by: her husband Moises P. Gasca; her daughters, Irma Samaniego (Ismael Samaniego) and Jennifer Castillo; and her grandchildren, Maira Samaniego (Alejandro Fernandez), Mikaela Samaniego (Fabian Zapata), Teresa Samaniego, Oriana Reyes, Ashley Castillo and Juan Carlos Castillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
