He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gerhards and Dorothy Gerhards; his wife Muriel; and his siblings, Lawrence Gerhards, Arnold Gerhards (Butch), Dorothy Jean Gordon and Zeke Miller.
He is survived by: his siblings, Judy (Billy Orum), James (Karen Gerhards), Margaret (Billy Ham) and Carol Ingrim; his children, Karl Alan Gerhards, Ronald (Susan Gerhards), Laura (John Myres) and Keith Gerhards; his grandchildren, Andrew (Louise Gerhards), Jonathan Gerhards, Benjamin Gerhards, Alex Gerhards, Sophie Gerhards, Grace (Austin Scott), Jennifer Gerhards, Cynthia (Michael Longworth), Shelly (Michael Morales), Hunter (Kelsey Myres) and Cathryn Myres; and his great grandchild Olivia Gerhards.
