It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude Wied in Eagle Lake, Texas, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Henry; her spouse R. H. "Red" Wied; her sisters, Regina Ohnheiser and Mary Ann Koudela; her daughter Judy Wied; and her grandson Tate Wied.
She is survived by: her children, Allen Wied, Carol Korenek (Dennis), Sheriff R. H. "Curly" Wied, Marvin Wied (Sandy), Janet Mahalitc (Al) and Carl Wied (Angela); her grandchildren, Kevin Korenek, Brandie Matthews (Christopher), Leslie Gordon, A. J. Wied, Amber Mahaltic, Chad Mahaltic (Maddie), Kari Sparks (Zach), Courtney Wied, Trent Wied, Emily Wied and Kelsey Wied; her great grandchildren, Reed Gordon, Kolby Korenek, Blake Korenek, Jacob Korenek, Bradyn Korenek, Noah Matthews, Charleigh Matthews, Morgan Harper Matthews, Abel Wied and Olivia Hazel Sparks; her sisters, Bernice Kallina, Dolores Swoboda, Margaret Anderson and Cecilia Krenek; and her sister-in-law Adela Wied Popp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
