He is survived by: his children, Vickie Lea Jetelina (Henry) of Wharton, Laura Lynn Ramirez of Wharton and Eugene Earl Shanks, Jr. (Debbie) of Eagle Lake; his brothers, Don Shanks (Mary), Andy Shanks and Bill Shanks; his grandchildren, Melisse Reynolds, Courtney Jetelina, Brandon Shanks (Stacey), Heather Shanks, Zach Daniels, Angela Parker LaFleur (Robert), Heather Cope (John) and Stephen Ramirez; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Murphy, April LaFleur, Sullivan Shanks, Rayne Shanks, Lexi Ramirez and Brighton Cope; and also Linda Harris.
