He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Roy Minshew and Glenice Elberta Jones; his wife Edna Denise Minshew; his stepmother Helen; his stepsiblings, Mary, Theresa Lee and James; and his daughter Brenda Marie Minshew.
He is survived by: his daughter Alanna Marie Tynes Garza; his sons-in-law, Michael Garza and Brett Tynes; his grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, Caidyn and Cassady; his siblings, Barbara and Ronald; his half-brothers, Nathan and Virgil; and his stepbrother Charles.
