He was predeceased by: his parents, Orion James Frederick Smith and Mattie Louise Smith; his grandmother Stella Rhodes; his aunt Frances Rhodes; and his uncle Wayne Rhodes.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his son Scott; his daughter-in-law Andrea; his daughter Jill; his grandchildren, Jude Michael Smith and Nolan Scott Smith; and his cousin Jim Rhodes of Australia.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Methodist Church of Duncanville in Dwain's memory.
