She was predeceased by: her brothers, Robert and Manuel Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Pedro Mendez Cortez; her children, Peter Cortez and Valerie Cortez; her granddaughter Elena Cortez; her sisters, Stella Hernandez, Susan Castillo and Rosa Nuno; and her grandmother Guadalupe Rioz-Aragon. She is also survived by 10 nephews and nieces, 14 great nephews and nieces and 1 great-great nephew.
