He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Edward Gilchrist, Sr. and Vera Lois Miller Gilchrist; his grandparents, Ray McCoy Miller and Jewel Lee Clark Miller; and his nephew Mark Dewayne Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Shannon Kay Paul Gilchrist; his children, Jordan Marie Gilchrist and Aaron Edward Gilchrist; his siblings, Linda Upton Hamilton (Willard) and Mike Upton (Annetta); his nieces, Faith Upton and Nikki Upton; his nephew Michael Wayne Upton; and also, Virginia, Kristi and Daryelle Paul.
