He is survived by: his wife Naomi Ruth Norvell; his daughters, Sherry (Tommy) and Donna (Dwayne); his grandchildren, Shane (Lisa), Shaun (Angela), Kristen (Jonathan), Jessica and Amber; and his great grandchildren, Alivia, Chase, Monte, Collin, Jeremiah, Koby, Erickson, Gracie, Wyatt, Zoe and Zeke.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Drug Abuse Foundation in memory of John Robert Diehl.
