He is survived by: his wife Anna Barclay; his son Jake Barclay (Ashley Barclay); his grandson James Barclay; his sister Sara Nason; his brother-in-law James (Jennifer); his niece Mary; his nephews, Chad Nason and Bennett Nason (Bridget); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian and Maggie.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jaynes Memorial Chapel (811 S Cockrell Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (1111 W Danieldale Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137).

In honor of his remarkable journey and memories he loves behind, the family request that donations be made to the Holy Spirit Catholic Church parking lot fun in John's memory.
