He was predeceased by: his parents, Oran Smith and Lula Smith; and his siblings, Lavell Smith, Cordell Smith and Theron Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Hall Smith; his sister-in-law Pam Briden (Ron); his children, Cheryl Meseck (Greg) and Michael Smith (Luella); his grandchildren, Shelby Robertson, Brandon Smith, Brady Butler (Kelley), Summer Smith and Mary Smith; and his great grandchildren, Colton Kirk, Kaden Smith, Riley Kirk, Ava Rodrigues, Camryn Butler, Payton Robertson and Chase Butler.
