He was predeceased by: his parents, Eudell Mangum and Lena Mae Mangum; his siblings, Doris and Louie; and his wife Joyce.

He is survived by: his sons, Darrell (Melinda) and Mike (Allison); his grandchildren, Brett, Brandy (Alex), Katie and David; his great grandchildren, Erin, Emma and Ava; his sisters-in-law, Janette Poynor and Vivian McIlraith; his niece Shirley Veltman; and his nephew Gary Wren (Christie).
