He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brotherton and Peggy Brotherton; his siblings, Don Morgan and Sandy Champlin; and his son Nathan Zientek.

He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Zientek; his wife Cindy Zientek; his son Bryan Zientek; his grandchildren, Autumn, Casen, Avery and Kaylee; his nephew Tracy Champlin (Jennifer); and his great-nephews, Blayne, Ryan and Camyrn.
