He was predeceased by: his parents, Floy Mae Halsey and Glenn Halsey. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Langran Halsey; his daughters, Kari Smith and Erin Clark (Daryl); and his grandchildren, Hope, Andrew, Nicole Clark and Kathryn Smith.

Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the American Kidney Fund.
