He was predeceased by: his mother Margarita Ortiz (Nieto); and his brother Rene Nieto. He is survived by: his father Artemio Ortiz (Rosalba); his wife Mindy Valenzuela; his children, Serina Ortiz, Sergio Antonio and Julissa V Ortiz; his sister Mary Nieto; his stepfather Oscar Vargas; and his brothers, Artemio Ortiz, Jr. (Melissa), Carlos Ortiz (Berenice), Ivan Ortiz (Madaline Villareal), Eric Ortiz (Aniyah) and Saul Ortiz (Jasmine Jumma).
