In loving memory of Mike Salim (Dumas, Texas), born in Beaumont, Texas, who departed this world on February 10, 2025 at the age of 94. Mike leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George Murphy; his wife Beth Salim; his siblings, Barbara Robertson (Betty) and Samuel Salim; his son Mark Salim; and his great grandchild Ava Hope Salim.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Salim (Laurie) and Deborah Hepworth; and his grandsons, Matthew Salim (Sheryl), Daniel Salim (Sandi), Stephen Salim (Rachel), Kyle Hepworth (Megan), Andrew Hepworth (Melinda), Adam Hepworth (Kristin), Jacob Salim (Madie), Joshua Salim (Madi) and Jordan Salim (Audrey). He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dumas - Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors (500 N Maddox Ave, Dumas, TX 79029). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Dumas (423 S Maddox Ave, Dumas, TX 79029).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to First Christian Church, 423 S. Maddox Ave., Dumas, TX 79029, or Dumas Education Foundation, P.O. Box 615, Dumas, TX 79029.
