It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Widener of Dumas, Texas, born in Crystal City, Texas, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Widener and Sadie Widener (Shields); and his granddaughter Abby. He is survived by: his wife Alice Richey; his sons, Jeff Widener (Dora) of Amarillo, TX and Johnny Widener (Stacy) of Dumas, TX; his grandchildren, Rachel Widener, Justin Widener, Kristina, Becky Widener (Stephen), Jonathan Widener (Emily), Gabe Widener, Liv and Hannah Lewis (Austin); and his sisters, Ginger Ballard of Collinsville, TX and Gaylon Adams of Dumas, TX.
