It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tex Montana Garnett (Dublin, Texas), who passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Tex Montana departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Tex Montana. Though Tex Montana may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his father Tutt Garnett; his stepparents, Lois Garnett and George Childers; his mother Edith Childers; his sister Ruth Garnett; and his children, Jim Bob Garnett and Lindsey Garnett.
He is survived by: his wife Lanita Garnett of Dublin, TX; his daughter Lana Trahern of Cleburne, TX.; his grandchildren, Taylor Trahern of Cleburne, TX and Rory Lee Hale of Dublin, TX.; and his siblings, Ann Whitehead of Dublin, TX and Tutt Garnett of Llano, TX. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Upper Greens Creek Cemetery (8145 Co Rd 351, Dublin, TX 76446).
