He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Effie (Dyer) and William Henry Allen; his wife Mary Joyce Allen; his children, Terry Allen, Tracy Allen, Tony (Tina Allen), Tim (Hong Allen) and Tammy; his son-in-law William Austin of Livingston; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Darian, Meranda and Amber; and his great grandchildren, Bret, Ashton, Reed, Stratton, Devin, Jaylen, Aubrey and Anna. He was also cherished by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins.
