She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Whitehead (Sims) and Coy Whitehead; her husband Buel Gene Simpson; her son Mike Simpson; and her siblings, James, Jerry Don and Rena Gray.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Morton of Dublin and Larry Don; her daughter-in-law Deborah Simpson of Dublin; her grandchildren, Sherrie Bunch, Nicholas Morton, Christopher Stark, Burt Humphries, Cathy Workman, Christy Alfaro and Candace Simpson; and her siblings, Bobby Whitehead of Kermit, Wanda Richmond of Dublin, Kay Arnald of Highland Village and Rita Elliott of Clyde. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
