He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Phillips, Sr. and Jeannie Phillips; his siblings, Warren Phillips and Mary Lou Shenkel; his wife Irene Phillips; and his son Donald Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Phillips and Stephen Phillips of Inman, SC; his nephew James Owens of Enoree, SC; his grandsons, Steven, Matthew and Jonathan Phillips; and his friends, Doug Becker of Austin and Dawn Sheffield of Wimberley. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
