He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Lavene Beard; his sister Rosie Scott of Linden, Texas; his children, Jim Beard (Gaye) of Douglassville, Tim Beard of Athens and Jennifer Carnes (Jon) of Texarkana, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Zane Beard, Zachry Beard, Patience Hershey, Adam Wilson, Jacob Carnes, Mara Wilson, Joshua Carnes, Cash Beard and Cheyenne Ross-Hall; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn Beard and Campbell Beard.
