He is survived by: his children, Dana Mayton, April Bell of Nash, TX, Natalie Abernathy (Cory Mangrum) of Linden, TX and Joshua Mayton of Nash, TX; his grandchildren, Kyleigh Abernathy, Kadence Abernathy, Ethan Abernathy and Saylor Mayton; and his siblings, Dianna Moore (Daniel Moore), Jane Bumgardner, Tracy Mayton (Tanya Mayton) and Mark Mayton (JoAnn Mayton). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglassville Baptist Church.
