Johnny Lee Sullivan Obituary

Johnny Lee Sullivan, 71, of Doucette passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Born in Lufkin, Texas to Jim and Jean Sullivan, he lived in Tyler County most of his life. He was a hardworking husband, Dad and PaPaw who worked offshore and as a welder and crane operator. He enjoyed deer hunting, hog hunting and fishing and taught his children and grandchildren the respect of guns and the outdoors. He loved his grandchildren and spoiled them every chance he got. His great grandchildren were the apple of his eye and they knew every time they came through his door that they got a hug. Even after becoming sick he would still try ot get on the floor to play with them. His nieces and nephews meant the world to him as well. He took pride in all that they did. As a Blue Collar worker anyone could come to him to help pay for their education and he would gladly help or get them a job in the plants. To him his family was everything.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Jim B. Sullivan, mother, Bennie Jean Lacy Clamon, brothers, Jesse "Jim" Sullivan and Richard "Dickie" Clamon; sister, Janie (Janice) Henderson and her husband, Joe; nephew, Joe Joe Henderson.

He was survived by his loving family, son, Wayne Kimball and wife, Michelle of The Woodlands; daughter, Andrea Hope Sullivan and fiancé, Steven Miller of Doucette; grandchildren, Destiny, and fiancé, Cameron, Charity and husband, Simon, Taylor, Celeste and fiancé Kyle; great grandchildren, Rinessa, Aliza, Maddison, Wyatt, Carson, Cash, Lilla; brothers, Marvin Sullivan and wife, Jennifer of Huntington and James "Junior" Clamon of Colorado; uncle, W. D. Lacy and wife, Shirley of San Augustine; aunt, Sybil Hutto of Doucette; "Good Friends" Ray Frizzell and Dennis Campbell; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 3 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bill Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November, 22, 2023, from 1 pm until 3 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Henderson, Jesse James, Roy James, James Henderson, John Sullivan, Randy Ray, II and Trey Holmes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Sullivan, Simon Prince and Kyle VonEssen.

A tree was also planted in memory of Johnny Lee Sullivan. R Rhonda Anderson November 16, 2023 8:17 PM Mr Johnny brought his kids up so honorably. He raised such wonderful children. We love and support you during this time of grief and know your Dad is so very proud of you and his Grandchildren. A Blessing to behold! We love you so much and keep you in our prayers.
