He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Strackbein and Hulda Geistweidt Strackbein; his sister Edna; his brother-in-law Pete Crenwelge; and his nephew Walter Louis (Nawona Crenwelge).
He is survived by: his great-niece Lyrae (Charles Borders) of Glasgow Kentucky; and also, June and Delbert Oehler.
