She is survived by: her husband Juan Gonzalez; her children, Marisela Gonzales (Eloy) and Chuck Gonzalez (Ellyn); her grandsons, Logan James Gonzalez and Travis Robert Gonzalez; and her sister-in-law Anita Garcia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the McCaleb Funeral Home (900 W 4th St, Weslaco, TX 78596). A rosary was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (306 S Salinas Blvd, Donna, TX 78537). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Park Cemetery (12506 Mile 2 W, Mercedes, TX 78570, USA).
Later, she extended her compassion and commitment as a caregiver and volunteer coordinator at Aurora House Foundation from 2009 until her retirement in 2022.
