She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Ed and Beatrice Johnson; her husband Richard Bates Sr.; her children, Linda Bates, Richard Bates Jr. (Terry) of Dade City, Emory Bates (Odulia) of Dilley and Liza Ford (Neal) of Indiana; and her sister Brenda King.
