He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Gonzales Franklin; his stepfather Cecilio "Chilo" Garcia; his brother James Thomas Franklin; and his sister-in-law Mayde Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Martha Franklin; his sons, James Anthony, John Thomas and Jerry Martin; his grandchildren, Anthony and Aubrey Franklin; his father Thomas C. Franklin; his stepmother Wanda Franklin; his siblings, David Franklin (Tammy), Lana Bermea (Roy), Joseph Franklin (Bonnie) and Jerry Franklin (Tammy); and his stepsiblings, Kelsey Hewitt (Melanie Kagarice) and Thomas Franklin. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
