He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Ortiz and Juanita Ruiz Ortiz; his son Kenneth Daniel Ortiz; and his siblings, Leonides Noel Ortiz and Griselda Ida Sambrano.
He is survived by: his children, Kristine Denise Granger (Albert) of San Antonio, Karl Dwayne Ortiz of San Antonio and Mary Ann Floyd of New Castle; and his siblings, Roberto Ortiz, Gilberto Ortiz, Ramon Ortiz, Raul Ortiz, Sylvia Jaco, Maria Ortiz and Yolanda Garcia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
