He was predeceased by: his wife Angeline "Angel" Saltaformaggio Stafford; his parents, Jewel Stafford and Willie Mae Jones Stafford; his sister Mildred Stafford Mizell; and his brother-in-law Hubert Mizell.
He is survived by: his children, Melanie Stafford Mauldin of Ridgefield, Connecticut and Michael (Sonja Rodriguez Stafford) of Yuma, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Harrison Stafford Mauldin, Matthew Michael Mauldin and Emily Grace Mauldin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
