With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George P. Birdwell (Dickinson, Texas), who passed away on November 28, 2018 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellen and Robert Franklin Birdwell; and his stepsons, Ron, Larry and Garry Criddle.
He is survived by: his son George; his friend Jonell Haynes; his daughter Jackie Sue; his husband Mel Lanford; his son Chuck Birdwell; his brother Cotton Birdwell; and his grandchildren, Lauren Carden (Mark), Lindsey Moore (Kevin), Bill Davis, Sarah Jane Sallis (Dwight Baker), McKenzie Shelly (Caleb), Brian Criddle (Julie), Josh Criddle (Athea), Trisha Minshew (Mark), Michael Criddle, Ron Criddle (Kristie), Michelle Criddle, Kara Kelly (Dean), Katrina Carpenter (Chris), Kerri Lynn Harris, Jessie Seago (Devon), Amber Trlicek (Jimmy) and Sheena Harpole. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Houston Hospice would honor George Birdwell's memory.
