Martha Jo Evans Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Jo Evans of Diboll, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Burrous and Maria Burrous; her husband Cloyce G. Evans; her parents-in-law, Mary Alice and Henry Evans; her siblings, Barbara Mayhar and Donald Oscar Burrous of Lufkin; her great grandchild Jacob Moreno; and her great great grandchild Emilliano Zapata.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Martinez and Steven Evans of Diboll; her grandchildren, Joshua Moreno (Amanda), Joel Moreno (April) and Kathy Moreno of Diboll; her sister Shelia (Ray Griffith); and her brother-in-law Bobby Mayhar. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gipson Funeral Home (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
