He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonnie (Allen) and James Aden Talley McCall, Sr.; his wife Betty Jo McCall; and his close friends, Joe Anthony, Joe Wilkerson, Jr., James Simms and James Furguson.

He is survived by: his children, James McCall, III, Melissa McCall and Roy Dempsey McCall; his close friends, Sissy Anthony, Marjorie and Claude Edward Welch; his children, Karen, Britt Hardeman, Christian Palacios, Suzanne Langford, Jerri Lynn, James Ledford, Lisa Burkhalter, Betty, Vernon Burkhalter, Delton Smith, Morris Smith, Joe Paul Stoval, Claude Welch and Papermill Crew; and also, Bessie Furgurson, Angela and James Yakovsky. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
