He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma (Arendt) and Byron F. Maxwell, Sr.; and his sister Ann Maxwell Humber. He is survived by: his wife Louise Maxwell of Diboll; his sons, David Maxwell of Houston and Troy (Keri Maxwell); his grandchildren, Tyler Len Vaughn of Katy and Lauren Louise Maxwell of Katy; and his siblings, Marjorie Maxwell Werbner of Rockwall, Carolyn (Jackie Mitchell) and Byron F. Maxwell, Jr. of Albany. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
Harold and Louise were influential in the construction of the building that houses the regional office of the American Cancer Society, and that building was named in their honor. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
