He is survived by: his daughter Imelda Buenrostro; his wife Hilda Castro of Diboll, TX; his children, Mario Castro (Josefina) of Diboll, TX, Armando Castro (Sara) of Lufkin, TX, Elva DeJesus (Alfonso) of Diboll, TX, Araceli Martinez (Jaime) of Diboll, TX, Nidia Castro of Diboll, TX and Hilda (Hector Meza) of Diboll; and his brother Alfredo Castro (Lina) of McAllen, TX. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oakley Metcalf Funeral Home (412 E Shepherd Ave, Lufkin, TX 75901).
