He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his daughters-in-law, Willie Smith, Julie Rogers Smith of Diboll and David Smith; his brother-in-law Ann Brooks of Diboll; his son David Smith; his daughter-in-law Shana Metteauer Smith; his son Amy Arendt; his children-in-law, Will Arendt and Sarah Johnson (Travis); his grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Sophia Arendt, Carter Smith, Callie Smith, Ann Brooks and Bobby Brooks; and also, Bobby Brooks of Diboll and Brady Arendt. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren who called him "Peepaw" – Sarah (Travis) Johnson of North Richland Hills, Texas, Hunter Smith of Diboll, Sophia and Brady Arendt of Johns Creek, Georgia, and Carter and Callie Smith of Kingwood; sister.
