He was predeceased by: his mother Eloisa Castillo; and his brother Amador Castillo. He is survived by: his parent Jose Castillo; his wife Guadalupe Castillo; his children, Giselle Castillo, Daniel Castillo Jr. and Sergio Castillo; his daughter-in-law Karina Castillo; and his sisters-in-law, Juan Jose Castillo Sr, Roberto Castillo, Ana Castillo, Cruz Enrique, Rosa Castillo, Everardo Castillo and Claudia Castillo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
