He is survived by: his wife Bertha Cuellar Miranda; his children, Jimmy Miranda (Edna) of Lufkin and Elizabeth Miranda Witherspoon (Betty) of Nacogdoches; his granddaughter Miranda Aleese Witherspoon Bellitto (Vincent) of Seattle; his siblings, Frances Rodriguez, Carmen Miranda, Frank Miranda, Joe Miranda, John Miranda and Marie Joslen; his wife Elizabeth Miranda (Betty); his son Wife Miranda Aleese Bellitto; his granddaughter Husband; and also, Edna Miranda and Vincent.

The truckloads of material he transported to Mexico included school supplies, building materials and donations he would masterfully acquire through church friends, former business associates, and by selling homemade tamales to generous contributors.
