With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfonso Mares Compean Sr. of Diboll, Texas, who passed away on August 20, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Antonio Compean; his wife Margaret Ramirez Compean; and his siblings, Lupe Compean, Consuelo Rogers and Juana Deharo.

He is survived by: his son Alfonso Mares Compean, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Yamin of Corpus Christi; his children, Linda Compean Davis of Diboll and John Lupe; his daughter-in-law Rosa Compean of Lufkin; his sons, Michael Compean of Diboll and Daniel; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Compean of Diboll. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grand-children.
